Charlie Taylor Shortlisted for Scotland’s Top Businesswomen’s Award
Charlie Taylor, of the Perth based salon group Charlie Taylor Hair Health & Beauty, has been shortlisted for her Outstanding Contribution to Business in Scotland’s top awards for businesswomen.

Charlie Taylor, of the Perth based salon group Charlie Taylor Hair Health & Beauty, has been shortlisted for her Outstanding Contribution to Business in Scotland’s top awards for businesswomen.

The awards, which are organised by the Association of Scottish Businesswomen, will be held in Charlie’s hometown of Perth on 21st September and will celebrate the achievements of some of Scotland’s finest female entrepreneurs.

Charlie, who has been shortlisted in this category previously, is delighted with the nomination which she says highlights the ever increasing contribution of women to the economic success of Scotland.

“When I founded my business 21 years ago, being a female entrepreneur was considered rather unusual. Now, 21 years later, the tide has turned and many more women are creating and growing companies of scale and significance, creating employment opportunities and driving our economy forward. It is only right that we celebrate that tidal change.” She commented.

Charlie, whose salon business was founded in Perth in 1987, now operates four salons in Perth, Dundee, St Andrews and Bridge of Allan with a fifth salon scheduled to open by 2008.
