Charlie Taylor the Official Hair Partner for the Second Annual Fashion Awards on September 9th 2007
Recent British Hairdressing Hall of Fame entrant, Charlie Taylor, has been selected at the Official Hair Partner of the 2007 Scottish Fashion Awards, in association with Hamilton & Inches, which will be held on Sunday September 9th at the historic Stirling Castle, hosted by top British presenter Jenni Falconer.

Towering over some of the most important battlefields in Scotland’s history in the heart of Braveheart Country, the castle will host one of the most demanding, decadent and best dressed awards Scotland has ever hosted, featuring an array of celebrities and high profile fashion players for the second year.

The Awards, which are sponsored by fine jewellers ‘Hamilton & Inches’, will honour Scottish talents who have made a significant contribution to this most discerning of industries. Whether this is a designer, fashion photographer, model, stylist, make-up artist, fashion writer, or fashion marketeer, these awards will showcase the very best of Scottish fashion talent and have launched their ‘Call for Entries’.

Judged by a virtual “who’s who” of leading fashion experts from around the world, the exclusive judging panel is made up of professionals from the world’s leading fashion houses, the most renowned and respected fashion publications and leading figures in style. The geographical diversity and invaluable industry experience of this top flight panel brings a global perspective to the awards and present a phenomenal opportunity for homegrown fashion talent to showcase their work. An exclusive gala dinner will follow for VIP’s, where guests will indulge in a wonderful fine dining experience prepared by Scottish celebrity chef Nick Nairn and his award winning team, followed by a charity auction on behalf of ‘The Princes Trust.’

The awards are being supported by both high profile Scottish and international brands including headline sponsor Hamilton & Inches, The Scottish Executive and Scotland’s leading quality broadsheet The Herald, luxury car manufacturer Bentley Motors UK, Scotland’s foremost and award winning hair salon Charlie Taylor Hairdressing, international cosmetic house M.A.C, Scottish Enterprise Textiles and the magnificent City of Stirling, who will host the event.

Charlie Taylor, founder of the Charlie Taylor Hair Health & Beauty, said, “Last year’s awards were a wonderful showcase for Scottish talent and this year’s awards look set to be even bigger. Charlie and her creative team have already been involved in a number of creative shoots related to the awards including one with award winning designer Christopher Kane, featuring supermodel Grace Small, and a second with GMTV presenter Jenni Falconer.

The Scottish Fashion Awards are also delighted to continue their innovative link to the ‘Los Angeles Fashion Awards’ – Jennifer Uner, founder and co-producer of the Californian event will join the Scottish Fashion Awards panel for the second year, with her incredible wealth of fashion expertise and will welcome the winners of the ‘Scottish New Talent Award’ to Los Angeles Fashion Awards October 2007.

Ultimately, the evening will represent a definitive guide to Scottish fashion, present and future, taking a fresh look at the wonderful Celtic contributions that have touched so many parts of the fashion world. From our innovative designers to our world renowned cashmere and textiles manufacturers, all eyes will surely be on the tartan red carpet at Stirling Castle on 9th September 2007. With Kirsty Hume, Lulu, Scotland’s First Minister, Jonathan Saunders, Jean Marc Loubier, Alexandra Shulman and a host of designers and celebrities who attended from around the world last year, the guest list is said to be equally exciting for 2007.
