Education

Returning to Scotland from Trevor Sorbie's Covent Garden Salon, Charlie founded her own salon chain from the city of Perth in central Scotland and is now one of the most sought after educators in the industry.

She has a strong belief that there is something new to be learned every day and, along with her staff, continuously works to develop their hair and beauty skills further through on-going education courses.

The company is a Vocational Training Charitable Trust (VTCT) approved centre, delivering a minimum of NVQ Level 2 hairdressing qualifications in house. All Charlie Taylor stylists are trained to a minimum of SVQ Level 2 compared to an industry average of 61%. In the last two years, the company has collected a variety of awards and accolades for skills in training and development and we continue to build on our strong ethos of knowledge development.

Charlie, along with head stylist and training manager Marie-Claire Whitelaw have both achieved their D32/D33 assessor awards and Marie-Claire has her D34 internal verification award.

While Charlie is perhaps best known to the general public for her award winning picture portfolio or her television and radio appearances in the hair-dressing industry she is most famous as an eloquent and stylish teacher.

The Schwarzkopf Academy in London frequently plays host to Charlie and her team, and Charlie regularly travels around the globe educating stylists on new cutting and colouring techniques as well as fashion trends and new product developments.
